Summer is just around the corner and some of the season’s hottest trends require flashing a little more flesh than most of us might be comfortable with. But that doesn’t mean you have to spend the next three months all covered up!
Want to test out summer’s more revealing trends? IFBB Pro and Fitness Trainer Cecile Palacios shares a few tips and tricks to get your body summer trend ready.
Moon Fall Cropped Top, $49.50; Roxy.com
Cropped Tops have made a comeback from the early 90’s. But this time, styles are less form fitting and intended to bare just a hint of skin.
Cecile’s Tummy Flattening Fitness Tips:
You can do crunches until you’re blue in the face, but if you want to tone abs fast, you’ll need to make adjustments in the kitchen. Ditch simple carbs (refined sugar, white bread, flour, rice, pastries, soda and fruit juice) and crank up the cardio to blast fat fast. Stay full longer and curb cravings by increasing your protein intake. Last but not least, keep it clean! If it was made in a lab, processed, or you can’t pronounce the list of ingredients, don’t eat it!
Cut Out Dresses
ASOS, $49.58; Asos.com
The cut out dress is one of summer’s sexiest trends. These dresses are popular amongst some of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities because they flash just the right amount of skin without revealing too much.
Cecile’s Waist-Cinching Fitness Tips:
Draw in your waistline with planks, bicycle crunches, and lying leg raises. Want to make an impression with a little backless number? Sculpt and tighten back flab with seated cable rows, lat pull downs and assisted or unassisted pull-ups.
Motel Geo High Waist Hot Pants, $55.66; Asos.com
From printed to perforated, hotpants are a huge hit this summer and anything but basic.
Cecile’s Leg Defining Fitness Tips:
Want sexy stems? Don’t be afraid to get down and dirty in the weight room. Squats, lunges, deadlifts, and plyometrics help tone legs and define your tush while smoothing cellulite. Top off resistance training with moderate to high intensity cardio and you’ll be turning heads in no time!
