Looking for an easy wardrobe update that will keep you cool this summer? Look no further than the little white dress – all dressed up in cotton. From sleeveless to fit-and-flare, crochet and lovely lace, there’s a dress to suit your style (and budget!). We love the idea of taking these to the beach with us – a slightly more polished look than your average cover up that you can take out to lunch, too. Which LWD is your favorite?
We’re taking cotton to the beach this summer – and we don’t mean in our towels and totes. Fashion-forward designers are increasingly incorporating cotton into their swimsuit lines, and we just love what they’ve come up with. From one pieces to frilly bikinis, there’s something for everyone. If you’re lounging poolside, consider JETS by Jessika Allen’s updated chrocheted monokini. Or Anna Kosturova’s pomegranate colored frilly bikini for a rich take on a classic swimsuit. And since cotton is durable, breathable, and easy care, these suits will last through Labor Day – and beyond.

Charles Philip Tropez Cotton Flat, $155, modaoperandi.com
Summer is finally here – finally! – and with that means embracing light, breathable fabrics like cotton. We’ve already been turning to our embellished tees, but don’t forget your kicks. Cotton flats are super cute and ideal for the warmer months – a great alternative to synthetic fabrics, which can keep the heat in.
We found some adorable options for this summer, so roll those pant cuffs up and show these off! Loafers are in, and we found lots of fun options, from floral to studded and the ever-trendy stripes. Which one is your pick?

Bright colors may be all the rage this spring, but so are more neutral colors, too. Easy accessories like lightweight cotton scarves and printed beach bags are a great way to add some color to your look, but if you’re on the hunt for more neutral accessories that can work all year long, well, we’ve got you covered. Consider a wide, woven cotton belt to add shape and definition to a simple dress. Or a utilitarian tote in a handsome cotton gabardine, which is large and sturdy enough to hold all your beach accessories – and will be perfect for a quick weekend getaway come fall, too.

The days are getting longer, but there’s still a slight chill in the air. And as our calendar heats up, we’re always on the lookout for pieces that can go from day to night while still handling the ever changing weather. Consider the cotton swing coat, beloved for its light weight and bold statement. It’s the classic cotton trench, all dressed up. We like letting these coats shine by pairing them with simpler pieces, from that LBD you can wear from work to weekend, to separates in a complementary neutral. Forget statement jewelry; these cotton coats are gorgeous and eye-catching. And since cotton is a natural fiber, it’s breathable and easy care – perfect for fickle spring weather.
What do you wear when the weather is ever-changing?
Every girl needs a great pair (or more!) of jeans. Jeans made of cotton are “breathable” because the fiber can absorb and release moisture quickly. Cotton rich jeans are also easy to care for and can last for years. Here are a few simple do’s and don’ts of how to care for your favorite denim:
Do
Check the labels on the jeans you are planning to purchase to make sure they are indeed made from cotton rich material
Read the care instructions on the inside tag of the jeans
Turn them inside out before washing
Wash in cold water on ‘delicate’ cycle
Dry flat or hang dry upside down
If you have to dry them in the dryer, do it on the lowest heat setting
Just because you are pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the fun spring trends as well! Many trends from the catwalks can be translated into maternity fashions, from stripes to colored denim. There are so many chic looks to choose from.
To ensure that your outfits will not only make you look good, but will also make you feel great, check the labels on the clothes you’re planning to purchase. When you’re going by just the touch it can be hard to differentiate between cotton and some synthetic materials.
All of our finds are made from cotton, which means they are comfortable and easy to care for, so you can enjoy your pregnancy in style!
We love the look of a crisp white button down and slim cropped jeans, but there’s so much more to your favorite button down than that. From prints to fade effects, cropped to peplum, and wild patterns galore, there’s something for everyone in this wardrobe staple. Click the images to purchase. What suits your fancy?
